感謝！

  嬉しいお知らせです。会報24号を発送する段階では、6月分と7月分の給食支援費が無事に送金できるか危ぶまれる状況でしたが、それを知らせる本部からの便りに応えて、沢山の支援金をお寄せいただきました。そして、なんと、年度初めに立てました送金予算のすべてを達成することができそうです。本当に感謝！　感謝！！です。

　詳しくは、会報25号にてご報告いたします。

 

 

 

＜会報24号に寄せられたお便りを紹介します。＞

 

・     会報２４号を読ませていただきました。ともかく、いつも以上に圧巻です。

シスター白幡の請願５０周年のお祝い（金祝）特別号ですね！

シスター白幡自身のお便りから、シスターになった経緯は、まるで小説のようで、数奇な神様の御手の中にあってのことですね。ベルナデッタのような彼女の信仰と行動に合点いたしました。

本部書記の野本さんがシスターとの出会い、今に至るまでのお話も、「そんな奇跡的な出会いと関わりが実際あるんだ」と驚き、さまざまなところで、世間の人には知れずとも、人と人と結び合わせるのが上手な聖霊の働きを感じました。

皆さんのお祝の言葉も含めて、シスター白幡のことを今まで以上に知るにつれ、とても明るい気持ちになりました。

堀井さんの２回目の訪問記ですが、粉飾や気張りがなくて、現地の様子も彼の感じた感覚も感情も直に伝わって来ました。この初々しい感覚や、情熱が失われることなく、成長して行ってほしいなあと、同じ職種で仕事をしてきたので切に願います。このような青年が失望してしまわないように、支え続ける大人の一人でいたいものだと思いました。（後略）（兵庫県　M.H様）

 

・     今回の会報もシスター白幡を中心に素晴らしい原稿が沢山集まり、大きな励ましと恵みを頂きました。中でもシスター白幡の素朴な信仰には心打たれます。本当に純粋に主を愛し、シエラレオネを愛していらっしゃる喜びが伝わって参りました。

野本さんの寄稿文の中の、シスター白幡のお母様のお言葉

「あなたを乞食に育てたつもりはない。」

には、はっとさせられました。

お母様はどんなにかご心配だったことでしょう。大きな犠牲も払っての献身でいらしたことが伝わって参りました。

私も神学校に行く決心をしました時、未信者の母が泣いて反対したことを思い出しました。（もちろん、今では喜んでくれておりますが・・）

神様は素晴らしい方ですね。

・     一週間前に6月分の支援金を振り込んだ日に、人間関係で奇跡が起こりました。私は、それは神様のご介入以外、考えられないことです。主・聖母様、皆様の祈りに感謝を込めて給食費を振り込みます。足りないかもしれませんが、給食費が送金できるようにお祈りいたします。　　　　　　（宮城県　M.M様）

今回は、シスター白幡誓願50周年記念号です。英語とスペイン語で会報の概要も紹介しています。このブログの下をご覧ください。
　この会報の8ページにあります“本部からのお知らせ”に、6月分の給食支援金が送金できずにいることを書かせていただきましたが、27日に必要額が満たされ、28に送金することができました。
　「6月中には何とか送金できるように」という願いが叶いました。
　皆様のお祈りとご支援に心より感謝いたします。

　先日、マリアイネス職業センター校長のSr.マリルスから下記のようなメールをいただきました。会報24号の補足記事として紹介します。


　　　　　　　　

 

　親愛なる菅野代表と「ともに歩む会」の皆様、

神からのお恵みが皆様の上にありますように。皆様のご支援に心から感謝します。

マリアイネス職業訓練校の最新の情報です。

 １：ガラ布の売り上げ、455ドルが届きました。このお金は材料の購入に使います。

これからもたくさんガラ布を作ってスキルを上げることが目標です。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　

 ２：最近、マリアイネス訓練校に近代的なキッチンが出来ました。

　ガスが使えるようになりました。以前は薪か炭を使っていました。

60人の訓練生が勉強しています。食堂はまだ工事中ですが、完成すれば、他のグループの会議室として貸したり、ケータリングの提供も考えています。

 ３：コスメ部門に集中コースが出来ました。

指導してもらっているのは、ヨーロッパからのボランティアです。

 ４：ドレスメイク部門では、専門家の指導を受けています。新しいタイプのものを作っています。鉱山のマネージャーたちのユニフォームの注文が来ています。

 ５：訓練校の生徒たちがトレーニングのためにレストラン、ホテル、病院に出かけています。かなりの数の女子たちがそのまま採用されることがあります。

 　私たちの訓練校は教えるだけではなく仕事の斡旋もできるようになりました。

　このような沢山の良いことが起きているのも日本の「ともに歩む会」の皆様のおかげです。改めて感謝の気持ちと神の恵みが皆様にところに届きますようにお祈りします。

          Mensaje de la hermana Bernadita Shirahata, agradece a todas las personas  que con sus plegarias, colaboracion

          la apoyaron durante todos estos anos. La hermana Bernadita nacio y se crio en un hogar holgado ,con comodidades

          recuerda que de nina asistia con su madre a la misa y estudiaba con las catequistas,entonces no tenia mucho inte’

          res en los asuntos religiosos incluso no conocia ni el nombre del Papa, cuando estaba en 4 ano de la universidad por

          primera vez tuvo oportunidad de saber sobre Sierra Leona, atraves de una hermana que venia de la mision, tuvo una

          gran impresion al conocer la situacion pobrisima de los ninos , penso que podria ser util en algo y comenzo a frecuentar

          a las hermanas clarisas, en un principio su familia no estaban muy de acuerdo con su decision , especialmente su hermana

          melliza, con quien se lleva muy bien, despues de 8 anos cumplio su sueno e ingreso a la congregacion . Al poco tiempo

          fue enviada a Roma, donde tuvo la gracia de ser guiada directamente por la Madre Maria Ines. En 1974 piso Sierra Leona

          donde debia permanecer, pero a causa de la guerra civil , tuvo que trasladarse a America donde residio 9 anos, Gracias

          a Dios en mayo del 2004 regreso a su querida mision en Sierra Leona, que tanto le enseno y donde encontro la felicidad

          diaria de ayudar y dar esperanza a los ninos.

           Juntos ,que tambien se encarga del comedor escolar (foto) esta a cargo de la Hermana Essmeralda y la Hermana Bernadita

           se incluyen cartas de 3 maestras jardineras

 

Pag 5 La segunda visita ,despues de 2 anos de la srta. Tsubasa Horii, estudiante de medicina ,4 ano de la Universidad de Saitama

           su estadia coincido con los festejos del ani. versario de la hermana Bernadita. Nos cuenta su alegria de volver a ayudar

           en la clinica, aplicando sus conocimientos , nos habla de su plan para el futuro cuando se reciba de medica de volver a

           Sierra leona para continuar su colaboracion. Nos relata que las hermanas Clara Yoshida y Bernadita, trabajan diariamente

           con gran energia y entusiasmo , y que sus rostros brillan de felicidad.

          ha fallecido recientemente y que van a concluir su colaboracion , despues de 18 anos de apoyo a Caminando Juntos

          Rogamos por el eterno descanso de la sra. Tsurumi y le agradecemos de todo corazon su  
          valiosa ayuda.

 

Pag 7 , 8 Mi encuentro con la hermana Bernadita, una miembro de nuestro staff, la sra. Kuniko Nomoto  en 1988, en el aeropuerto

          de Madrid, por casualidad, o lo que podriamos decir por un milagro conocio a la hermana Bernadita entonces y desde alli

“Walking Together” Bulletin No.24

This is a special edition celebrating Sr. Shirahata’s 50 years of monastic vows.

 

On the left of page 1, is a photo of a card from Holy Father, Francesco. On the right is a congratulatory greeting from St. Clare's president Martha Hernandez and a photo of her and Sr. Shirahata.

 

The photo on page 2 is of St. Clare's Sr.Adriana Jurez Navarrete regional superior Sr Adriana  JuarezNavarrete regional superior and the children of MageBureh.  There is also a greeting from Sr.Adriana as well. Following is a letter from Sr. Shirahata titled “Finishing the celebration mass for 50 years of monastic vows”. Along with many thank you messages, she shares her words she used in the mass. Sr. Shirahata was raised and grew up in a nice family and spent her childhood going to church with her mother – not being able to answer the Holy Father’s name. When she was in her 4^th year in college, she met for the first time a sister from St. Clare who was sent to Sierra Leone. She heard many stories of Africa and was shocked to hear about the poverty. Wanting to of help, she decided to join St. Clare and became a nun for 8 years, although her family- especially the older of her twin sisters opposed. She was thankful to have gotten trained by Maria Ines in Rome. After in 1974, she headed to Sierra Leone, but the civil war stopped her from any activity. She was sent to the US, but her heart remained in Sierra Leone and hoped to return. She was able to return in May 2004, she learned so much from her experiences in Africa, and notes that living in Sierra Leone is her happiness.

On page 4 is a photo of Sr. Shirahata with the kindergarten children. There is a letter from 3 kindergarten school teachers. It says that they are thankful for the effort put in to establishing Tamagawa Shirayuri Kindergarten, which has now grown to have 350 children. Extra thanks to Sr. Shirahata for her support as well as “Walking Together” for funding lunch for the children. They will continue to do their best under the direction of Sr. Esmeralda.

 

On page 5 is a report from Tsubasa Horii (4^th year at Saitama Medical University), who visited Sierra Leone for the 2^nd time in 2.5 years. Horii-san arrived on the morning for the 50 year celebration. He touches on how active Sr. Shirahata is compared to when she is in Japan, and also on Sr. Yoshida who came to the airport to pick him up.

He also notes that even though the staff in the clinic are giving their best efforts, it is still difficult for the children to get treatment. He also visited the school and saw the children happy to study and to be served lunch. Horii-san expresses his desire to come back to Sierra Leone, hopefully to be a doctor. The photo is Horii-san and the clinic staff.

 

From the bottom left on page 6, are voices from supporters. There is an announcement that it since Tsutako Tsurumi who president for “Bouquet of Hope” passed away, and her organization which has been supported for 18 years will dissolve.

 

From page 7 and on to page 8, there is a note from Kuniko Nomoto, the headquarter secretary, about her encounter with Sr. Shirahata. They first met in an airport in Madrid in 1988, and have been having a great relationship up until today and also touches on Sr. Shirahata’s personality.

 

The photo on the top left on page 8 is Sr.Shirahata and Nomoto-san. The top right shows children of from the new middle school built in Kailahun  district. The bottom right are OLG high school students. Following is information from headquarters and remittance status for support funds. Unfortunately, June funds is turning out low and has not been sent. Also touches on a letter that was sent from Father Emmanuel, the principle for RC, stating their difficulties and the status of support goods not being sent yet.

 

 

In the editorial note is a letter from Yoshiko Hotta, who lives in Ghana, and also a photo or Sr. Yoshida.
