クリスマスと新年のご挨拶

　シスターエリサ地区長と、シスター白幡から、クリスマスと新年のご挨拶が届きました。ここに、一緒に紹介いたします。シスター吉田からも届くと思いますので、追って掲載いたします。

　クリスマスは、貧しい人たちや苦しんでいる人たちのより近くにいることが私たちに許される恵みのひと時です。

そうです。私たちへの愛のために幼子となられた神は、馬小屋の寒さを経験なさったばかりでなく、謙遜に幼子を礼拝するために近づいたあの羊飼いの暖かさをも経験なさいました。

皆さまが貧しい人たちや、苦しむ人たちに絶えず寄り添ってくださったことを心から感謝いたします。皆さまが、多くの困難の中にあっても苦しみの試練を与えられた人々と共にいてくださったからです。

　皆さまの寛大な援助、皆さまの現存（皆さまが共にいてくださること）は私たちの大きな支えとなり、さらに私たちが他の人々の苦しみを和らげるための助けとなることを可能にしてくださったのです。

皆さまは、両手を広げて私たちの愛するお方に信頼し、礼拝するために来られました。知らないで、富を分けることによって隣人への愛を経験することの助けとなってくださったことを感謝いたします。　

私の姉妹たち、又すべてのシエラレオネの人々に代わって、よいクリスマスとこれから始まろうとしている新年を主が祝福してくださいますようにお祈りいたします。

そして聖母マリア様が最も小さい者をも守ってくださり、その子どもたちに母なる愛を示してくださいますようにお祈りいたします。　２０１５年クリスマス　ルンサにて。

　クリスマスと新年のお喜びをもうしあげます。

”あなたのために神が人となってお生まれになった。”

イエスさまは、この世にもたらされた神様の愛です。　その愛はイエス様から私たちへと広がり、私たちに愛し合うことの大切さを教えてくれました。　互いに愛しあうとき私たちの心は思いやりとやさしさに満ちて暖かくなります。

　この一年、全世界に難民があふれ、テロが相次ぎ、シエラレオネにとっても大変な年でした。　長い内乱のあと、やっと平和な生活に戻れると思っていた矢先にエボラ出血熱がギ二アから入ってきました。　９か月もの間、すべての学校は閉鎖され、人々はひどい恐れのうちに生きていました。でもその間、皆さまの尊い支援のおかげで、特に貧しい２５０人の在校生たちの家庭にお米、水、調味料などの支給ができてどんなに喜ばれたか知れません。

”この最も小さな一人にしてくれたことは私にしてくれたことである。”　とキリストは言われました。最も小さな人とは？弱い人たち、貧しくていつも飢えているとか、世間から疎んじられているとか、とにかく人の助けなしには生きていけない弱い人たちです。　そういう人達の中に神はいらっしゃるのです。別世界にいらして私たちの世界を見ておられるのではないのです。常に私たちの目の前の人々の中にいらっしゃるのです。助けたいと思う人の中に神がおられるのです。

　ともに歩む会の皆さまは、これを、身をもって実行していらっしゃるのです。シエラレオネの人々、子どもたちに代わって心からお礼申し上げます。そして新しい年が皆さまお一人おひとりにとって、神様の慈しみに満ちた年でありますように。

　何もできない私たちに代わって、全能の神様が皆さまお一人おひとりに必要な恵みを与えてくださることによって、報いてくださいますように心からお祈り申し上げます。　
　全世界の平和のために心を一つにしてお祈りいたしましょう。

会報１０号 シスター吉田からの便り

ともに歩む会会報１０号を掲載しました。右の「会報」のページを開いてご覧になってください。
今回、現地シエラレオネのシスター吉田からの便りが会報の印刷に間に合いませんでした。別刷りで会報に挿入した文を下記に掲載します。会報と合わせて最新のお便りをお読みください。

ニュースで見ると、日本の各地で雪の降っている様子が映し出されていましたが、会員の皆様、お元気でしょうか。こちら、シエラレオネは、例年になく長かった雨の季節がやっと終わり、かんかん照りの季節に入ってきました。

すでにお知らせしましたように、「エボラ終息宣言」が出され、一息ついたところです。感心したことは、11月7日の夜は、ドラムで盛り上がるのかと思いましたが、多少の音楽はありましたが、イスラムもキリスト教も、犠牲者の方とその家族を思い、静かな祈りの日になりました。首都・フリータウンでは、町のシンボルである「コットンツリー」の周りにキャンドルが供えられ、誰彼となく静かに亡き人々を偲ぶ映像が、ニュースに出ていました。私たちの教会でも、みなで感謝のミサを捧げました。「Na God （神様の為さることだから）」と言って頑張ってきた皆の静かな喜びが教会の中に満ちていました。

今になってみれば、「あれはなんだったのか」と思う悪夢のような時でしたが、お陰様で皆さんの御好意に支えられ、多くの援助を必要としていた人々に食糧支援をすることが出来ました。

ルンサ地区だけでなく、最初にエボラが発症したカイラホン地区、ギニアとの国境の地区マンゲブレにも支援を届けることが出来ました。

在校生で村に住んでいる250名の貧しい生徒には、10月から4月の学校再開までの7か月間、毎月食糧を配布できました。

 

　学校は、2014年―2015年度が駆け足で終了するところです。変則時間表ですので、どれだけ理解できたかは疑問ですが、8時半から3時まで、さらに小6、中3と高4は、夕方2時間、夜7時から2時間の補習授業。生徒も先生も頑張りましたので、全員合格してほしいと願っています。あと1年は変則授業が続きます。

この期間中に、頂きました指定献金「ウシ1頭」の特別ランチ、やっと実現しました。小学校が試験に入る前の先週20日、美味しいトマトソースライスとお肉一切れ、小学校約1500人、幼稚園約300人、皆笑顔で頂きました。「Don’t touch, Ebola pass pass !」と言っていた幼稚園生も今では安心してシスターに絡み付いています。

ギニアは、まだ終息宣言が出ていませんので、シエラレオネも安心できません。学校の時間割も来年の8月まで変則ですので、あと少しの期間は、不都合な時をすごすことになるでしょうが、後戻りしないよう注意しながら一日も早く「普通の生活」をすることが出来ます様に願っています。どうぞこれからもシエラレオネの為にお祈りと御支援をお願いいたします。

bulletin No.10 of “Walking Together”.

 

Thank you for always helping and praying for us with generous heart. 

Here is bulletin No.10 of “Walking Together”. The content summary is as follows.

 

On page 1 is a e-mail from Sr. Fumiko Yoshida, expressing her joy and thanks on the the declaration of the containment of the Ebola Disease (Ebola Free) in Sierra Leona on November 7th. The photo below was taken by Minami Someya, who submitted her “Sierra Leona Experience Interview”, which you can find on page 7.

 

The report from Sr. Kazuko Shirahata, who has temporarily returned to Japan for treatment on her knee, is on page 2. As she continues her treatment, she speaks of her desire to return to Sierra Leona. She adds her feeling of joy about the “Ebola Free” news. 

 

On the latter part of page 3 are messages from students, teachers, and parents of OLG Schools and the Maria Ines Vocational Center. They give their thanks to efforts such as food supplies while the schools were closed and university scholarships.

 

Q&A to Sr. Shirahata can be found on pages 4-5. 

Q1. Where can you find a Clarissan Missionary Sisters facility in Sierra Leona, other than at OLG Schools?

Q2. From Sr. Shirahata’s viewpoint , how has Sierra Leona changed in the last 40 years?

Answers to these questions were answered by Sr. Shirahata. 

 

Page 6, comments from supporters all over Japan. 

 

In the right column on page 6 is information from the head office covering the 2016 head office meeting reports and support funds situation, etc. With funds from so many supporters, we were once again able to send support funds. The photo on page 7 shows the visit made to the grave of Sr. Michiko Negishi, who passed away 2013/11/1.

 

On pages 7-8 is a report from Minami Someya on her experience volunteering at OLG School for a month before she graduated college last spring.  

She headed to Sierra Leona hoping to support the kids there. She talks about what she learned and the many emotions she felt during her one month trip.

 

Due to internet troubles, Sr. Fumiko Yoshida’s report did not make the bulletin, so please see the attached. In this attachment, Sr. Yoshida writes “When Ebola Free was declared on November 7th, I thought many would explode with joy of the news ,but it was a day of prayers for Islams and Christians, for victims and their families…” The photos show kindergarten students enjoying a special annual lunch with beef donated by supporters and home economics students of the Vocational Center taking a West Africa Graduation Test. 

 

It was a busy year, but we appreciate your support and being able to send these reports mainly around the declaration of the containment of the Ebola Disease.

Pag 1 : Declaracion del 7 de Noviembre : Sierra Leone se declara libre de la Fiebre Ebola

            Mensaje de la Hermana T.Yoshida, agradeciendo toda la ayuda recibida durante

            la crisis ,pone un comentario sobre el dia de la declaracion, que suponia todo el

            mundo saltaria de alegria con gran jubilo y algarabia, sin embargo la gente recibio

            la noticia con profundo sentimiento y serenidad,donde todos por igual, fieles del

            Islam, Cristianos,familiares que perdieron a sus seres queridos,rezaron en silencio

            agradeciendo el fin de esta pesadilla.

           de su rodilla, con la esperanza de curarse pronto y asi poder salir de Japon y regresar  a la Mision en Sierra Leone.

             Informe de comision central de Caminando Juntos. Gracias a la ayuda y donaciones

            de nuestros colaboradores de todo el pais (Japon), hemos podido cumplir lo planeado  en el presupuesto para el 2015.

                     hicieron trabajo de voluntariado durante un mes , antes de la graduacion de la

                     Universidad de Tamagawa. Informan sobre todo lo que aprendieron durante el  mes de estadia

            foto  una vez al anio, recibimos una vaca donada por los colaboradores, se prepara

                     un almuerzo especial que incluye carne.Los ninios del jardin de infantes, dis frutando del almuerzo, junto con los alumnos de la clase que se prepraran para tomar　el examen general de la Universidad de Africa del Oeste.

 

Volviendo la mirada hacia el 2015 ha sido un periodo de enormes dificultades, Gracias a Dios

se pudo superarlas, y Sierra Leone, se ha liberado de la fiebre Ebola

会報10号は12月12日発行の予定で、現在、印刷に回っています。今号では、エボラ終息宣言がトップニュースですが、昨年春、大学卒業前の1か月間、ＯＬＧの幼稚園でボランティア実習を体験した染谷みなみさんの報告も掲載されています。若い感性でとらえた現地の様子をお楽しみください。原稿と共に、染谷さんから沢山の写真をいただきました。今まで、会報でも紹介できませんでしたルンサの街の様子の写真をいくつか紹介します。
