Dear all members of “Walking Together”.


Dear all members of “Walking Together”.

 

We thank to all of you who are always helping and praying for us with generous heart.

This is to update the Bulletin No.8 of “Walking Together”.

 

It was supposed to be published by the end of June; however, as OLG started again on April 14th 2015, we decided to publish it 1 month ahead of schedule to inform this wonderful news AEAP to you.   

 

There is as yet no promising prospect to end the Ebola outbreak in all affected countries in Sierra Leone.

In this situation, we cannot let our guard down and might need new forms of our support program.

 
The description of each page of the bulletin is as follows:    

 

Page 1: These photos are from Sr. Yoshida.

 

In the above 3 photos, you can see the children taking measurement of body temperature at school gate on the first day of reopening school. (April 14th 2015)   

 

Probably, this experience was for the first time ever in their life. 

They got nervous but were relieved to find that their temperature were average.  

In the bottom photo, you can see the children putting a smile back on their face 9 months after the school had been closed.    

 

Page 2:  A report from Sr. Elisa Padilla (m.c.p. Superior of Sierra Leone

 

It expresses his gratitude and pleasure after coming out of the long tunnel of their struggling.

Also, despite the continuing difficulties that it expresses his determination to walk together with his students in the presence of God.         

 
 

In this photo, you can see Sr.Elisa teaching her students how to clean up after the school meal.   

 

Page 3: A report from Sr. Kazuko Shirahata.

It expresses her gratitude for coming back to Sierra Leone safely after her temporary return to Japan.

Also it mentions that nursery activity has restarted in a new kindergarten building. 

 

In this photo, you can see the kindergarten children learning in a new kindergarten building.

 

Page 4: A report from Sr. Fumiko Yoshida.

It describes how we got to reopen the school after overcoming great difficulties.

Also it reports our future plan to catch up with the other schools’ studies which remain closed and the number of the Ebola outbreak death.

 

It is reported that we have lost 4 kindergarten children and 4 school teachers.

We have 10 survivors; however, all those survivors lost their parents and were orphaned by Ebola.            

 

In this photo, you can see the junior and senior-high students giving a prayer of thanks for reopening school.       

 
 

Page 5: A Letter from Mother Julia Meijuerio morosini (M.C. Superior General) and Sr.Graciela Patron Trujillo.

It expresses their gratitude and the impressions of the bulletin No.7.

 

The next paragraph is a report from Mr.Hisada Mitsumasa (The chief director of Aichi volunteer center

It expresses his gratitude to our support activities and reports that they have provided emergency food to OLG.

 

In this photo, you can see the volunteer students involved in packing emergency food by bulk container.       

 

The bottom of page.5 and the left side of page6 is a newsletter from our benefactors.      

 
 

The right side of page.6 and the left side of page7 are a simple chronological table for our support activities.    

 

The other part of page 7, 8 is a newsletter from our Headquarter.

It mentions about the remittance status from our benefactors and the preannouncement of next general meeting.         

 

Page 8: On the above photo, you can see the kindergarten children playing in a new kindergarten building. On the bottom photo, you can see the elementary school children attending in morning assembly on the first day of reopening school.  

 

Eventually, OLG has started to “Walk” again.
